However, after a period of time, there will be white spots on the surface. It looks like a layer of fog! So what is the cause of this problem? Let's analyze the reasons for precipitation:
The TPE/TPR material is modified from SEBS/SBS, so it contains a variety of ingredients!
I. Auxiliary precipitation
The auxiliary molecular weight is generally small. If the amount of addition is too large, the category is selected for error extraction.
For example:
1 Antioxidant
1010 This additive is relatively compatible with TPE/TPR materials, but the effect is good. If the amount of addition is too large, there is a great risk that it will be precipitated.
2 External demoulding agent
For example, acylate amide, oleic acid amide itself is the effect of precipitation on the surface of the product to achieve demoulding effect, if the amount is too large, it is easy to form white spots on the surface.
3 dispersant
Some manufacturers will use PE wax, etc., and the decomposition temperature is low. If the TPE/TPR material is too high during the production process, it will cause PE wax to decompose and precipitate.
4 compatibility agent
Excessive addition of tolerants can also lead to precipitation
II. Calcium powder and other fillings
The packing is poorly dispersed or contains other substances that cause precipitation
III. Flame retardants
If it is a flame retardant TPE/TPR material, then the choice of flame retardant is unreasonable, and the dispersion and compatibility are not enough.
Treatment:
1. Select the appropriate treatment solution(according to the specific material choice of precipitation) to wipe or soak the TPE/TPR material product. After a period of time, observe whether it will be precipitated. If the solution is repeated, the general effect is not good. It is also easy to cause defects on the surface of the product, so the formulation sample phase should be tested more to avoid this situation as much as possible!
