We know that most TPR materials and TPE materials are transparent, translucent and white, and they are easy to be colored, so we should choose suitable toner or masterbatch for coloring. Generally speaking, TPE/TPR materials based on SBC are superior to other TPE/TPR materials in coloring. TPE/TPR materials based on SBS only need a small amount of color masterbatch to achieve the desired color effect, and the prepared color is purer and brighter than other types of TPE/TPR. It should be noted that the viscosity of color masterbatch is lower than that of TPE/TPR. This is more conducive to dispersion and makes the color distribution more uniform.

Matters needing attention in some conventional products:
1. Extrusion-grade TPE/TPR materials have higher requirements for coloring. In general, please only use masterbatch or customize it.
2. Pay attention to the dry preservation of toner and masterbatch. In case of moisture absorption, it must be used after drying.
3. Generally, TPE/TPR materials can't easily use color masterbatch of PVC and TPU carriers.
4. When used in soft TPE/TPR, we should pay attention to the migration of colorant.
5. For TPE material of SEBS substrate with high hardness, toner needs to have certain high temperature resistance.
TPE/TPR color matching materials.
When TPR materials and TPE materials use toner or masterbatch, if TPR is based on SBS, it is recommended to use masterbatch with polystyrene or EVA as carrier. If it is a high hardness TPE based on SEBS, it is recommended to use polypropylene as the carrier of color masterbatch. If it is low hardness TPE based on SEBS, it is recommended to use LDPE or EVA as the carrier.
