For SEBS origin and TPE substrate brand selection, TPE materials with high transparency are generally used. It is suggested to choose imported SEBS products, such as Kuraray in Japan and Kraton in the United States. The transparency of TPE materials produced in Taiwan Province and SEBS in China are not very good. When selecting oils, selecting some oils will make TPE materials look more foggy and the background color looks yellow and dark, so we must choose high-quality white oil.
In the actual processing process, this situation will sometimes be encountered. Suppliers have repeatedly claimed that they are highly transparent TPE materials, but the transparency of products processed by users is not very good. This is related to the injection processing temperature of the material. Generally speaking, the higher the injection temperature, the better the transparency of the product, but the higher the temperature should not cause the aging and degradation of the material. The recommended injection temperature of TPE highly transparent materials is 140 ~ 230℃. The actual injection temperature is related to SEBS molecular weight, TPE hardness, mold design and equipment model.
