Application field of TPE raw materials in auto parts

The application of TPE in automobile parts mainly includes seven categories: transmission belt, shock absorber, rubber hose, airbag, automobile wiper, automobile rearview mirror, sealing TPE sealing strip and interior and exterior decoration materials. The following are some existing and developing applications of TPE in automobile parts:
Rubber used for sealing strip was NR, SBR and CR in early years, and then EPDM was used. In recent years, TPE, an energy-saving and environment-friendly thermoplastic elastomer, has begun to replace rubber, such as weatherproof sealing strip, coated window sealing strip, dustproof sealing strip and light sealing material.
Thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR has many characteristics:
1. The materials are translucent, highly transparent, white, white, black, etc.;
2. It has passed ROHS, PAHs, FDA, EN71-3, ASTM963, LFGB and other environmental protection tests and grade tests;
3. The material is environmentally friendly, halogen-free, nontoxic and tasteless, and does not contain compounds such as plastic softener, phosphophthalate, nonylphenol and heavy metals;
4. Good shock absorption and anti-skid wear resistance; Small compression deformation and deformation, strong elasticity and high recovery performance;
5. Good ultraviolet resistance, aging resistance, yellowing resistance, cold resistance and chemical resistance (excellent ozone resistance and weather resistance);
6. Wide hardness range (Shore 0A-90A), which can be adjusted arbitrarily according to requirements;
7. Broad use environment: long-term use temperature from -60 degrees to 135 degrees;
10, bright and foggy, smooth appearance and comfortable TPE rubber soft texture;
11. The material contains no moisture, can be used directly without drying, saves energy, and is easy to process and color. The nozzle material, that is, the leftover material, can be completely recycled, which reduces the product and does not affect the physical properties of the product;
12. it can be overmolded with TPE by secondary injection molding, coated with PP, PE, PS, ABS, PC, PA and other matrix materials, and can also be molded separately. it is the only choice to replace soft PVC and some silicone rubber.
