I. Comparison of TPE,TPR and PVC Materials
1. More environmentally friendly. Compared with PVC, TPE and TPR do not contain phthalate plasticizers, halogen, dioxin and other harmful substances when burned.
2. Processing characteristics. Flow characteristics. Generally speaking, the fluidity of TPE and TPR is lower than that of PVC. The plasticizing and molding temperature of TPE and TPR is higher than that of PVC (TPE,TPR plasticizing temperature 130~220℃, PVC plasticizing temperature 110 ~ 180℃); Shrinkage, generally, soft PVC is 0.8-1.3%, TPE, TPR is 1.2-2.0%
3.TPE,TPR can be injection molded, extruded and blow molded. PVC can be molded by injection molding, extrusion, slush molding (slush molding) and drop molding (drop molding, micro injection).
4. Expression of hardness. PVC hardness unit is P (expressed by plasticizer content), TPE,TPR hardness unit is A (measured by data measured by Shore A durometer). According to the physical property table, OK template or product design drawings provided by downstream customers, look for materials with appropriate physical properties from TPE and TPR suppliers. Factors to be considered include material hardness, processing physical property parameters (such as fluidity and shrinkage rate), etc.
2. According to OK template or product color matching and appearance requirements given by the customer, whether to screen printing ink, etc., seek the appropriate TPE and TPR product brand. The screen printing effect is closely related to TPE,TPR materials and ink properties.
3. Environmental protection requirements. Although TPE and TPR are applied to the toy industry, environmental protection is usually not a problem, but it is still necessary to communicate with customers to confirm the standards of environmental testing. New industry standards are being drawn up continuously, and testing standards vary from region to region. It is absolutely necessary to confirm through communication.
4. Other requirements. Such as aging resistance, wear resistance, resilience requirements, etc. Some toy erasers also have specific requirements for material wiping.
